Immediate Impression

Like a picture loading slowly, (a matter of seconds).
Not bit by bit down the page
But as an unblurring of pixels; clarity.

Three swipes across a frosted pane
Layer after layer revealed
Brought to sharp focus. (the whole)

Not the slow developing of a photograph
In a dark room.
But three quick splashes of paint across canvas.

(thoughts on imagism.
Not an imagist poem.)
